Qualifications

• Full Class 1 New Zealand Drivers License.
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement with Handling Experience.
• Basic Administration Skills.

Experience Needed

• Whilst training can be provided for suitable candidates, it is preferred that you have at least 3 months experience operating a class 1 vehicle (Transit Van) to provide freight services throughout the Palmerston North Region.
• Experiencing loading and unloading General and Dangerous Goods Freight safely on to a vehicle ensuring all legislative requirements, including freight segregation rules, are met and maintained.

Skills Needed

• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate clearly and professionally with people from different backgrounds and roles.
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Good literacy and numeracy skills (for example able to read and comprehend business rules and policies, able to calculate hours to ensure maximum driving hours and rest break requirements are upheld)
• Excellent customer service skills.
